Abstract: Taxonomic account of a new species Cheiracanthium shikerpurensis n. sp. of riceland sac-spider genus Cheiracanthium CL Koch 1839 is presented. The specimens were collected from different rice-fields of district Jhenaidah, Bangladesh. Illustrated description of the species together with the generic diagnosis and distribution are also included.
