ABSTRACT: A taxonomic study on some crab-spiders genus Xysticus Koch was carried out in the southwest region of Bangladesh. Two species of spiders were identified in this study of which one species X. joyantiae n. sp. is identified as new to science and the other one X. minutus Tikader is a new record for the area of present study. Generic diagnosis, distribution, illustrated description and key to the species are described.
